Joining hands between theory and practice – benefiting students and the global community.
While service learning is no longer a graduation requirement at Daemen University, the institution proudly continues its commitment to community service and civic engagement through the Paul A. Saffrin Center for Sustainability and Civic Engagement. Additionally, many academic departments, Athletics, and Global Programs integrate community service and civic engagement into the curriculum and/or through specific assignments and class projects. To explore opportunities for community service and civic engagement within your academic program, please contact your academic advisor or Department Chair. If you have an innovative idea to pursue a new academic-community partnership, please stop by the Center, located in DS 226. If you are interested in international community service and civic engagement, please stop by the Global Programs Office, located in DS 149, or email: international@daemen.edu.
