Accounting\/M.S. We will also guide students in the development of personal qualities and norms that support success in a competitive global environment.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Student Learning Outcomes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Upon completion of the Undergraduate Accounting Program:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Students will be able to demonstrate content knowledge of core business and specialized accounting concepts.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Students will be able to formulate business decisions through the use of quantitative and technology-based tools.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Students will be able to communicate effectively within various business contexts.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Students will be able to conduct research necessary to identify, synthesize, and produce relevant accounting information.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Students will be able to synthesize legal and ethical concepts to inform accounting and business decisions.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Master&#8217;s Student Learning Outcomes:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the student learning outcomes noted above, students in the master&#8217;s portion of the B.S.\/M.S. in Professional Accountancy will be able to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Students will investigate theories, concepts, and best practices within the context of integrated processes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Students will leverage technology and resources to analyze complex business problems and formulate innovative strategies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Students will apply change management theories and evaluate leadership techniques.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00a0Students will research the larger global, ethical, political, and legal environment of business to recommend specific and sustainable management decisions.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Linda Eckert Kuechler &amp; Herbert B Eckert Memorial Scholarship<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The award is made to a senior-level accounting major who has been accepted into the 150-hour graduate accounting program at Daemen University. Recipients are expected to be in good academic standing, to progress through the program on a full-time basis, and exemplify ethical standards. An essay addressing why ethical behavior is good business is required of applicants. Further details may be obtained from the Department Chair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Lumsden &amp; McCormick, LLP Endowed Scholarship in Accounting<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Multiple awards are made to junior or senior accounting majors who are expected&nbsp; to be in good academic standing and possess a record of academic excellence in both their major area of study as well as other general education courses.
