Scores for admission to various courses are determined by the Mathematics faculty.<\/p>\n<h1>Mathematics\/Computer Science Goals<\/h1>\n<p>I. Develop effective thinking and communication skills<\/p>\n<p>II. Learn to use technological tools<\/p>\n<p>III. Learn to link applications and theory<\/p>\n<p>IV Develop mathematical independence and experience open-ended inquiry<\/p>\n<p>V. Content Specific <span class=\"il\">Goal<\/span>: Learn the theory and application from calculus; linear algebra; data analysis; computer programming; lab science sequence; and read, analyze and produce proofs.<\/p>\n<h2>Additional goal for mathematics majors seeking adolescent teaching certification:<\/h2>\n<p>VI.
